Renovation of “villa Elisa”

The project proposes ideas and suggestions concerning the opportunity to renovate the building of “Villa Elisa” in order to create small apartments for self-sufficient old people.
The main characterizing feature of this renovation is the presence of different dimensions in every part of the building and in the spaces outside.
At every level common and private spaces find a symbiotic presence in horizontal and vertical continuation. On every floor there are residential spaces or protected transit paths   and the floors find their continuity through the "vertical way of communication" that opens a view on the surroundings through its transparent glass windows.
In the constant research of new spaces to make living in this building more pleasant we have created a new setting outside where it is possible to stay and have a view on the surroundings.
